Once again, we await the great rivalry football game between CU (University of Colorado) and CSU (Colorado State University) to open the 2008 football season. The Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown at Invesco Field in Denver, CO. Sunday, August 31, at 5:30 pm. Every year, this is an exciting moment for friends and foes to get together and cheer on their favorite schools as alumni or fans!
Last year, the Buffaloes pounced all over the Rams football team with an amazing 41 to 14 victory. This year, CU will hope to commit to the same victory as before. The gun- slingers behind the showdown will be, none other than the Buff’s very own, Dan Hawkins and the Rams Steve Fairchild.
All students and alumni are being encouraged to wear their school colors as you will see nothing, but black and gold on one side, with green and gold on the other! The 2008 The Good “CU” the Bad “CSU” the Ugly “showdown” is almost here!
Hold on to your seats and get ready for an exciting Sunday evening with both crowds roaring with excitement to launch their teams into the 2008-2009 football season with a bang and bragging rights!
Less than two week remaining till the big game; The Good, The Bad & The Ugly - Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown at Invesco Field at Mile High! We still like Mile High Stadium, but what can ya do?
You’re probably going to have to buy overpriced tix from those guys on the streets, but just in case you’re feeling lucky, here’s a link to the Ticketmaster QWEST Rocky Mountain Showdown: CU v. CSU online system. Who’s gonna win, what team are you rooting for?

Still having this game at Folsom? When are they getting back to alternate home fields?
I like UNC to win! HA
This will probably be the last game at Invesco Field, CU athletic director, Mike Bohn has the option to bring the home game back to Folsom! Which, he will probably exercise, by popular demand!
Both these teams need to start with a win since their schedules are pretty tough.
Go Buffs!!!!!!!!!!
