area of study may be referred to as 'nerdy', or you may be referred
to as a computer geek. However, do you really care if you're making
the big bucks? The fact of the matter is that computer information
science is essentially at the top of the hierarchy for everything
related to computer technology, and will continue to expand at an
exponential rate for years to come. When it comes to computer systems,
there is a need for implementation of information and computation
aspects. Earning an online computer science degree allows graduates
to work in a rapidly advancing field often with high compensation
rates. Students will often find the online computer science degree
broken down into sub programs, however, certain schools will offer
a broad based program. There is almost too much information to discuss
for such a broad based field, so we will simply let you explore
each school below for program information. Don't forget to click
on the red links to request more information directly from these
schools, as curriculum and courses will vary depending on the University.
Computer science is another general
term within the field of Information Technology. Graduates
typically seek employment in a large pool of career paths
including computer programming, networking, web design, computer
operating systems, and database administration. Computer Science
Degree graduates tend to make sure the end-to-end process
of communication with computer technology is working, sometimes
on a broad scale, others drill down towards a specific area
within the process. We have provided some data for some of
the top career choices for CIS graduates, although there are
many career paths available for this field. The following
figures are: According to Robert Half International, a professional
staffing and consulting services firm.
