 The
undergraduate Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree is another of the
common academic degrees pursued within the United States, often
spread over a three to five year timeframe depending on course work
and academic units taken by the student. As each College and University
is different, they typically offer similar degree programs that
may have a very similar curriculum, but they will produce an academic
degree with varying titles. As the name states, the Bachelor of
Science Degree will tend to have a heave academic curriculum based
on a scientific and/or mathematic background. A handful of degree
programs that fall into this category are economics, accounting,
chemistry, biology, computer science, information technology, physics
and sociology. Although there are many more degrees within the Bachelor
of Science realm, the main difference between the B.S. and Bachelor
of Arts (B.A.) Degree curriculum is the core subject areas covered.
There may be some overlap between courses studied in both degree
programs, however, B.A. degrees will tend to lean toward creative
and performance areas such as theater, graphic design, creative
writing, photography, and film production. Again, we would like
